Are Internet Explorer and Firefox ready to do battle with Chrome?
Google announced Monday that it has been hard at work on an open-source browser known as Chrome, a beta version of which will be released in 100 countries on Tuesday.
The launch of Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group’s (ADAG) direct-to-home (DTH) service-BIG TV DTH will intensify the battle for market share in the nascent but fast growing sector.
ADAG announced the launch of its DTH business here on Tuesday. The services for Reliance Communications’ wholly owned subsidiary will be available on a pan-India basis starting Tuesday, but expansion through retail outlets will happen in phases.

Abhinav Bindra won India's first ever individual Olympic gold medal on Monday with a thrilling come-from-behind victory in the men's 10m air rifle.
Abhinav Bindra had been fourth after qualifying but had a brilliant final round and even hit a near perfect 10.8 on his last shot to pull in front of Henri Hakkinen of Finland, who dropped to bronze with a poor final shot of 9.7.

Saina Nehwal women national badminton champion is hope of medal in her event in Olymic as she continued her fine form. She beat Ukrainian Larysa Gryga in straight games to advance to the women's singles pre-quarterfinals of the badminton competition at the Olympic Games in Beijing.
Mohun Bagan beat East Bengal 2-1. It’s going to be a “Prawn-day” in the kitchens of all those Mohun Bagan fans.
The stadium was tightly packed with a crowd of 70,000 football lovers. The coaches of both the teams could be seen tensed and on the edge of the field throughout the match. It goes absolutely without saying that those 90 minutes between Mohun Bagan and East Bengal were completely “action-packed”. The commentator could be heard many times saying, “it’s football not boxing”...The match saw 5 yellow cards- two for Mohun Bagan and 3 for the East Bengal club. It was for almost 8 times that the field witnessed a stretcher for the injured players.

recently purchased an iPhone 3G, or upgraded your original iPhone to the iPhone 2.0 OS, you’ll probably already have logged in some serious time with the AppStore and all the new features (like improved web surfing) that make the iPhone 2.0 OS so much more usable than previous versions. You’re also likely well aware of the new iPhone OS’s tendency to bog down and lag every once in a while. Sure, it can get annoying, but what are you going to do?

In a 14-page manifesto e-mailed to the media minutes before Saturday’s serial bombings, an organisation calling itself the “Indian Mujahideen” has claimed responsibility for the Ahmedabad attacks.
Titled “The Rise of Jihad”, the manifesto says the bombings were carried out to avenge the 2002 anti-Muslim violence in Gujarat. “In the light of the injustice and wrongs on the Muslims of Gujarat,” it says, “we advance our jihad and call all our brethren under it to unite and answer these irresolute kafireen [infidels] of India.”
