Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, who owns the Kolkata team of the Indian Premier League (IPL), on Wednesday said he opted for cricket because it is commercially viable for him and not because he favoured the popular sport over other disciplines.
Now all this is very controversial, first of all SRK after providing a movie like chak de has decided to dip his fingers into the big cricket pie. Why doesnt he start IHPL(Indian hockey premier league) he would need only 10% of the money he shelled out to start the entire league. And now after proving that its all about money, he comes out and says something like this. Why if I may ask should Cricket uplift other sports, do people like watching hockey, do we have good hockey players, do we have good badminton players, we do have good tennis players and they have a market of their own. How many of you remember watching last hockey match of India when was it and where was it?

This Article walks through the legendary Bill Gates and Microsoft history as Bill Gates prepares himself to relinquish the leadership of one of the biggest business empires in the world.
The first time Bill Gates addressed a technology trade show at Las Vegas, his dad came along to help.
Back in 1983, Microsoft co-founder Gates was unveiling a previously unheard of product named Windows at the Comdex computing expo. As he spoke, William H Gates Sr manned the overhead projector, placing each transparency carefully on the screen. Computer projectors and presentation software like PowerPoint had not been invented yet.
Fast-forward a quarter century later, to the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) commencing from Sunday to January 10 in Las Vegas and its whizz-bang laptops, fancy TVs and amazing mobile electronics and that old projector looks as quaint as a horse and buggy.

Mumbai is Tendulkar-town, Delhi is Sehwag-ville. In a cricket-insane nation, sports stores in the metros, as a rule, stock up on cricket gear, even secondary accessories like pads and gloves routinely outselling tennis rackets and the like.
Things changed the week before our 60th Independence Day. Suddenly, the national game was fashionable. The demand was for hockey sticks. "It was two weeks after the film released," remembers Govind Lele, owner of a suburban Mumbai sports store. "And all of them wanted hockey sticks. We didn't know where to get them. We had to restock the whole store."

Kangana Ranaut is all set to go bald for her latest film, Madhur Bhandarkar's Fashion.
After much discussion and debate, Bhandarkar decided her final look as he wanted the actress to fit into former model Geetanjali Nagpal's look.
Fashion is based on Nagpal (inset), who was recently in the eye of much controversy. Once a successful model, Geetanjali lost herself to drugs and alcohol, and was found begging on the streets of Delhi in September.
