Tech: Motorola reveals touchscreen slider with new UI

It’s been quite a while since we heard anything from Motorola’s camp; in fact it’s been too long. However, here’s something for the Motorola fans out there, the company has just announced a new ROKR handset that’s being called the ZN50. From the images making the rounds I have to admit it’s quite a snazzy looking touchscreen slider.

Tech: Sony Ericsson android handset confirmed

Just a little while ago information about a Sony Ericsson Android handset made the scene. The handset was being called the Rachael and bore an Xperia logo according to the images that were apparently leaked.

Tech: Samsung electronics launches 250 GB HDD

Strengthening its line up of portable 1.8″ hard drives for external storage markets, Samsung Electronics has announced its 250 Gigabyte 1.8 inch hard disk drive, the Spinpoint N3U which incorporates a native USB controller on its printed circuit board. This optimized design results in a smaller foot print, less power consumption and optimized performance, which is ideal for portable external storage devices.

Tech: Could MS announce a new browser OS too?

We know that the war for the best damn web browser has been on for a while now with the likes of Firefox adding their upgrades and IE 8, Opera, Safari and of course Google Chrome that is now in the process of being developed into a whole new operating system for netbooks that’s simply called Google Chrome OS.

Tech: Google-Microsoft war may bring down PC prices

Google Inc’s bid to compete with Microsoft Corp’s Windows operating system may help lower the cost of personal computers at a time when prices are already being pinched by inexpensive netbooks. Analysts expect Google to offer its just-announced Chrome Operating System for a small fee or for free when it is launched in the second half of 2010, a move that could force Microsoft into a price war.

It was not too long ago that 5 megapixel cameras were all the rage and this year we’ve seen that that too has passed with 8 megapixels making a bigger scene. However it seems like the jump is already underway to 12MP now with Sony Ericsson and their Satio being the fore-runner followed by Samsung’s Pixon 12. Tech: Gamer steals from virtual world to pay real debts

Facing real world debts, a trusted figure in a popular online game stole money from the virtual bank he ran and exchanged it for cash through the black market. It happened in EVE Online, where more than 300,000 subscribers pay $15 a month to play. They gain wealth through hard work, manipulating the market, or killing rivals in a distant future where humans have colonized the stars in an online game similar to World of Warcraft and Second Life.
