I first heard about S Mahinda Thero during 2005 while at Kolkata when I was asked by one of a stamp dealer whether I was interested on a 20 paise stamp of S Mahinda Thero issued by Sri Lankan Postal Department in early 1970s. I collect philatelic items on Buddhism but I never have the sense of hearing about the person who he was talking about. He told me, as I was from Sikkim so I might be interested to know more about the person and he went on to add it was Sikkim Mahinda Thero, a Buddhist monk who is regarded as a national hero, a famous poet in the Sinhalese language whose poetry promoted patriotism and the revival of Buddhism to this part of the Island. He promised to send me the stamp of S Mahinda Thero from Colombo through mail but since then I had never herad from him. But towards my limited concern it was enough to have knowledge of such person who is keeping the name Sikkim with honour and pride in Sri Lanka.

When the Mumbai attacks happened a Pakistani blogger YLH had written an open letter to all Indians,denying that any Pakistani could ever be involved the events in India and instead blaming the 'Hindu extremists'for the attacks.I had cross posted that here and it desrvedly got a lot of flak not only from the Indians but also from some Pakistani readers.Now YLH has come out with this letter to his fellow Pakistanis.I am posting it here for the Indian readers.

IndiaShining: Sena demands public hanging of Kasab
for once i would completely agree with Shiv sena and Bal Thackeray.... i feel that this bastard Kasab should be interrogated and all the information about terror networks should be taken from him.... all the details about their sources of funding and all and when he is not able to give any new or useful information he should be hanged outside the CST station....... i know this is not correct as per the Indian constitution and judicial system but then what they did was not correct also.... they killed 200 innocent people, injured over 300 people...... if he is not hanged now many more bastards like Kasab will be born and many more Indian cities will face the same fate as Mumbai.... i have purposely put this story under India shining as i want to see my country shine by killing these rascals..... so for gods sake i would like to see him hanging...........
