The thick white smokey lines that were observed on different part of Sikkim last November again reappeared today. The unidentified smokey lines passed through the heart of the Singtam bazaar to the other side of the hill was witnessed by large crowds at around 7.37 am this morning. Shekher Pradhan who took the photographs told that the object did not have any sound and could not be identified whether it was fighter plane or not. He added the object had its white smokes following a path and it took a little over 5 minutes to cross the Singtam sky.

The above photograph had been clicked by Prashant Pandey on the noon of November 23, 2009 from his house terrace at Singtam. Though the cloudy lines left by celestial object can be faintly noticed ( in between the two red lines ), such rare occurrence was never heard in this part of Sikkim. In the last few days some strange show ups at sky had been reported in different parts of Sikkim that includes places from Namthang, Ravangla and the sighting of five UFO like objects at Sombaria on November 26, 2009.

I was going through the internet news about the diseased death of 10,000 pigeons at Singtam which is not at all correct. So far no exact data had been collected but as i had been following the death of these birds, according to me the death of these pigeons are below 4000. The mysterious death of the pigeons at Singtam Bazaar had started since early May and over the month the death of these avian had not stopped. Each day around 30-40 pigeons die.

Very little is known about the postal history of Sikkim. Though post offices in Sikkim started in 1888 in Dulapchin (now Dalapchand), near Rongli and meager information has been established so far. For a stamp sized state of Sikkim, 6th November 2006 hold a moment of glory and recognisation in terms of world philately. Indian Postage featured a postal stamp on Changu Lake in a group of five lakes from different part of India. The Changu Lake stamp with Rs 5 denomination features among the five Himalayan Lakes of India that include Roop Kund, Sela, Tsomo Riri and Chandra Tal.

There is a wonderful forum for the people of Sikkim, by the people of Sikkim and off the people, places of Sikkim. The forum is called Sikkimonline.info and we do share our thought about our Sikkim in it. There was one thread where we tried to sought out what could be the minimum qualifications required for the posts of Sikkim State Assembly. I do feel politics these days have become a profession rather than those old days social service serving to the people.

I had come across several ups and downs in my small life but to me my darkest hour still has to be the 27th May, 2000. How could I forget that day that shattered me and my life turned out to nowhere? Today though I did fight with the odds and came out winner but still I have that day, a darkest dot in my life. I would like to make my readers believe me that I had RW during my B.Sc examination. I never knew that RW meant ‘Result With-held’, until I saw my remarks along the graduation part 2 result posted at the notice board of Sikkim Government College.

This is how my blog was reviewed at freesubmitnow.blogspot
Sikkim: A beautiful Himalayan State in India
One, often forgotten, advantage of blogging is that one gets to see some exotic places which we never knew ever existed. Sikkim is one such place in India. Its the place which inspires, Shital Pradhan, to write his blog and he writes average more than one post a day. Now thats what is called truely inspirational.
