News: Delhi Court summoned Doctor to perform abortion without consent of girl
A gynecologist of New Delhi, Dr. Nisha Jain landed herself in the court for conducting abortion of an unmarried girl without the written consent of girl. She performed abortion by the request of her boyfriend while she later accused him for sexual harassment. The Court decided to put the doctor on trial, accused of illegally terminates the pregnancy of the girl. After abortion, she realized that the girl had not given a written consent for abortion. Health: Rare deadly virus kills three in Gujarat
Ahmedabad: A rare deadly virus surfaces in India first time and killed 3 people in Ahmedabad, Gujarat state. The central team will visit the Gujarat state for taking knowledge about the situation. National Institute of Virology (NIV) verified the reason of these deaths. The deaths were caused by the Crimean Congo Haemorrhagic Fever (CCHF) which is also called the “Congo fever”. Tech: More new GSM users in September 2010
Compared to August 2010, the rate of GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) subscribers in India has grown by 3 percent in the month of September 2010. This survey was announced by Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI). The report showed that the number of GSM subscribers is 494 million in September which is more than the August month (481 million).

Tech: The students of IIT, IISc designed world’s cheapest laptop
On Thursday, Kapil Sibal, the minister of Human Resource Development (HRD) launched a low price laptop and will be available at price tag $35 or Rs. 1500. This is specially developed for the students and for changing the class room education in the India. Kapil Sibal told to the reporters, “Our target is to bring it (the price) down to $10 a piece and our research teams are engaged in that project. In the meanwhile, we have developed this low cost access-cum-computing device.”
