  One Interesting thing that popped up in my mind was that , if you look at it India has been ruled by the Ghandi family for last 50 plus years. Now people might say is it a miracle for a family politician state to proper so far. let me give you the reason.
  
  I relate this to Theodore Roosevelt of the U.S, who is the only president to win three elections in the U.S. and ruled America through Great Depression, which hit on 1929, and through a devastating World War Two. Even though Americans were fighting Fascists, Roosevelt himself was a Dictator, if he would have not died he would have always gotten everything accomodated from congress because of his position and a strong support from the public of America. Now he had all the powers in the world, and i mean it when I say that, he could have done anything he wished, but he gave his powers to the people of America, and a many credit goes to Eleanor Roosevelt, his wife, who believed if an opportunity, competition, or organization is made to help the Americans, it should do just that help the Americans, in other words she meant it should help every race, every citizen, and every family of the U.S One of the most amazing things she ever said was, "Children in America are children of America. Read critically between that quote and you will understand it.
  
  Man I talk too much, but anyways relating this to the Ghandi Family of Indian politicians, even though they have such great power, they do not keep it, they give it away to the people of India. That is why India has been able to run democracy to the fullest satisfactions.

  First think of whos is ghandhi, in the name of Indira gandhi family. It is just polical stunt, as ghandhi is surname of indira's husband. then, why their generations are using that surname is simply they fools people.

  Just for information sakes - Gandhi was a surname lent to Feroze (husband of indira) by Mahatma Gandhi , to enable the wedding of Feroze a parsi with Indira. Gandhi family is basically the Nehru family. Nehru did not have a son only Indira as his daughter. Indira took the helm from him, so the dynasty we have ruling india currently is in fact Nehru. Rajiv was one of the biggest visionaries of this family, I rate him better than even Nehru. Rajiv had good exposure to the world because of his education. Im not sure if dynasties are the best way to govern a country, however thats the way it has been for a while in the world.

  Well said garfield, I too agree with ur vision that Rajiv was the one of the best leader we ever had. It is unfortunate we lose him. I dont think rahul will catch rajiv's place. He is been used as a tool by congress leaders (not sonia). Once his part is over, he will either be moved or or or....

  Atleast for the reason that the power should be with youngster, let him come and wipe out conventional thinkers from the House of elite,
