Year 2008 would most certainly be remembered as the year of despair.
First we started the year anxious about the stock markets and soon plunged into one of the worst global financial crisis.
We now started to worry about what would happen to the world's biggest financial institutions.
Whilst recovering from the staggering crisis worth hundreds of billion dollars, we were hit by the reality that the job scenario in India wasn't rosy any more.
Thousands of Indians lost their jobs and we had our hands full making the ends meet amidst double digit inflation and spiralling oil prices.
Just as we managed to put food in mouths, we were staring point blank into AK 56 guns. Mumbai saw the worst terror attack ever and now India prepares for a war.
Year 2009, can only be better because things can not get any worse than this. 2009 is definitely going to be one of the most challenging for the global leadership as teeming billions look at them to deliver a promise of hope.
It still has been a rewarding year at Rambhai, getting to read news and views from the Rambhaiyyas. We were covered by Times of India and the Daily Telegraph. We got great adulations from Rambhaiyyas, some brickbats too which we accepted as an opportunity to improve.
This special edition of the newsletter covers the biggest stories in 2008 for Rambhai. If this newsletter does not display for you properly, you can also have a look at http://www.rambhai.com/annualnewsletter/
