I don't get it!
Why on earth NCR area is loosing (or shall I say not attracting) anything at least I'm not hearing anything, either in IT or anything else, despite having almost world class infrastructure.
Bangaluru despite its pathetic infrastructure is getting more and more attention, why??
Are the guys in the LS/RS having a long sleep or what?

I think NCR is too costly for anything with the NCR people's talent being hoodwinking, kamchori, dhokadhadi etc.

Wow...thats an astonishing feedback!
My dear friend, how many decades you have spent in NCR to come to this conclusion???
Oh btw, do not think that I'm biased N Indian, but I'm an Indian whose origins are from Southern India but I have had preferred to work and in live in NCR.
BTW, during my renting years, I have had never paid any year around rent in advance for the aptment, I have had access to world class city infrastructure (traffic, govt. officials, police etc.), better healthcare (Escorts, AIIMS,Apollo, Max etc.), better connectivity across the country (Rail,Bus and Air), better Telecom infra (Mobile and Landline both), better power, better shopping fascilities (ever been Lajpat or SN Market?) better roads and so on...
Can you cruise through any other metro in India (or I dare to even ask across world) in 20 -30 mins flat??? In NCR its possible... Seen so many CNG buses and taxies??

I have been in NCR for about 2 decades, i was born bought up in Delhi and only moved out for my post graduation. NCR infrastructure is getting better I agree but a home in NCR costs around $100,000 for two bedrooms. More expensive than some areas in america. And Im sure as a south indian you must have been somewhat on the receiving end here. I know ncR people all too well.

Well, I truely agree in the past NCR was the most dreadful place (I left NCR to Central India) and when I returned over here I was impressed.
However, I agree the prices have been on the rise, but for good (NCR is getting atleast value for money) but the heck about S India is nobody is getting anything for what they are paying for (e.g. Pune bad roads pathetic traffic), Bangalore (everything is pathetic except some cheap white collar workers and chennai is no different.) and thats why my outrage is..
Why is everyone going to the pathetic part of the country when something is quite good in NCR?
Finally, I have had left NCR for good in long back in 05 but given a chance I shall prefer NCR over any other place in India.

I beg to disagree with you sir!
Have you ever been to a shop in Pune and compared with that of any hawker in NCR?
The Puneite will ask you, as if why on the earth you have even dared to step in to his shop? or in other words "Kya mangta hai?"
On the other hand, the NCR guy will say "Sir, there is no price to have look, buy only if you like"
There is a stark contrast to the mentality of people, vendor and everything in between.
Another example, my roommate, whose office time was from 12:30 PM, would never get an auto or taxi as all of the auto drivers were on "Lunch Break" and won't entertain a customer!!
Finally, the people think you are staight from hell if you dont speak Marathi!
