Tech: Easier Said Than Done.. A Black Day for Cisco Systems...

We have been taught time and again that for any organization who has critical Information System, it MUST DO all to make it Fault-Tolerant along with Disaster Recovery plans..



Yet, the Internetworking Giant, Cisco Systems experienced on Aug-8th 2007, complete BLACK OUT of all the contents in the cisco.com for about 3 hours starting from approx. 13:30 EDT till 16:45 EDT..



Just because their San Jose, CA Data Center experienced Power Failure due to a Human Error / Accident!!



Totally un-acceptable...



Now I realise, that certainly its "Easier Said, Than Done!"

    Well nothing is Perfect my friend but definitely 3 hour outage is not expected of networking kingpin...
