Kavita’s unique and mellifluous voice has been fine tuned over the years as she trained herself in Hindustani and Classical music. Her love and passion for Sufism has grown over the years and hit the silver screen when she recorded a solo (Mujhe Mat Roko – Track No 6) for Mahesh Bhatt movie Gangster. Kavita’s emotional voice was distinguished enough to get industry acclamation and Stardust Awards nominated her for Sensational Voice in 2006. Kavita Seth’s popular debut solo Sufi song,“Maula” in Satish Kaushik’s film Vaada, also brought her industry wide acclamation. She was nominated for the Best Fresh Voice of The Year at the Sahara Sangeet Awards 2005.
