The meet, which is considered by critics as a move by the actor to step closer to politics, got the usually-reticent Vijay talking about a variety of topics, including politics. A source close to the actor revealed, "He (Vijay) wanted his fans to work towards ending the dominance of the political family(read DMK) that ruled Kollywood. When he got feedback from AIADMK sources stating that his fans had done much more than what was expected, he was on cloud nine."
