Haji Ali Dargah in Mumbai is a popular pilgrimage destination for devotees of all faith. Many devotees visit Dargah from different walks of life. It is situated 500 yards off shore in the middle of Worli Bay in Mumbai. The mosque was built in 1431 by a wealthy Muslim merchant, Haji Ali. According to an ancient story,” the saint was drowned at the very place where mosque was built. Whereas the other said that he died on his tour to Mecca and his dead body was put in a casket, which floated back on a sea flowing in Mumbai.”
