The State Government has decided to impose a 20 per cent power cut till the end of this month and 25 per cent in August on account of deficient rainfall and the low water-level in hydel reservoirs...

Hi Denny,

How bad this deal is we will not know till many years down the line. If ten/twenty years from now Bangalore is still 4 hours in the darkness, who will India blame?

Nuclear is the wayforwards, but ee do not have to rely on American uranium for the rest of our lives; we need sufficient depleted uranium from anyone to kickstart our own thorium reactors. America has tonnes of it, if they really want to help us, why do they not sell us that instead? It is whether we want the fish or learn how to fish ourselves.

Also, would you really trust 'the family' again who are so close to the Quattrocchis to do a honest deal? The Bofors scandal was never properly investigated but was blocked at every step or dropped on technical grounds. The suspects have not been cleared of guilt beyond reasonable doubt.

ya i also know that how rajiv gandhi's name was cleared from the bofors scam..... but this time the entire thing is not in the hands of the gandhi family, but mr manmoan singh is also involved.......

and alredy so much fuss is being made on this deal that no one will dare to do anything in this.... all of the politicians will be waiting to pounce upon any opportunity to accuse any congress member.....

and if ten yrs down the line Banglore is still facing power cuts then i guarantee that congress will never come into power......and i dont think so they will take such a big risk...
