Fiat Grande Punto has made its world debut in year 2005 at Frankfurt Motor Show. Fiat Grande Punto got a runaway success in the European market immediately after its launch. Now Fiat plans to launch Grande Punto in Indian market to strenthen its position in hatchback segment here. Fiat Grande Punto is the second vehicle that will be launched by the FIAL (Fiat India Automobiles Ltd.), a joint-venture between Fiat and Tata Motors. Fiat Grande Punto would be launched in India with three engine options - two petrol engine and one multijet diesel engine.
