A gynecologist of New Delhi, Dr. Nisha Jain landed herself in the court for conducting abortion of an unmarried girl without the written consent of girl. She performed abortion by the request of her boyfriend while she later accused him for sexual harassment. The Court decided to put the doctor on trial, accused of illegally terminates the pregnancy of the girl. After abortion, she realized that the girl had not given a written consent for abortion.
