News: Bush gets attacked by shoes in Iraq (video)

It is funny that the Iraqi reporter had enough time to throw the first shoe, then take out the second one and throw that as well before the security guys actually came in!

hey garfy bro are u also saying that the Indian leaders should receive the same treatment.......

well folks i have no option but to agree with u, but then there wont be enough shoes to attack these politicians as everyone deserves a dozen at least....

any ways jokes apart i seriously want to ask all of you that if you are given the chance to throw one pair of ur shoes, on which politician will you target,

either you can throw both your shoes on one leader like this Iraqi gentleman or one shoe at one person......

    my options are.....

    1) Vilasrao Deshmukh

    2) Shivraj Patil

i wonder how i missed Raj Thackeray......but the gentlemen above deserve more than him........

Lol.. guys do you know that the Turkish designer of the shoe has got lots of orders after this??

But seriously.. a reporter should be stripped of his job for this.. violence is no trade of a reporter..

hey Kumpal have u ever said that the Political leader should have been stripped of hos job for not doing what he was suppose to do....... no but people would target the honest journalist who had the guts to do what he really felt.......

at least the world got to see what Mr Bush had done was so wrong that someone has thrown a shoe at him.......

There were other ways of showing dissent to Bush.. shoe throwing might not be the only way.. And btw.. will Bush feel the anguish of the man who threw the shoes?? He seems completely unfazed.. like how a naughty school kid would be back at his ways after a school teacher spanks him.

hey i know that it didnt had any effect on Bush coz he showed that he was not affected, but just think on a human level what will be your condition if a person throws shoes at you in front of the whole world.......

and what option a journalist has to show dissent and show the world that wrong Bush was...... i completely support this journalist and i think he did the right thing....... he is a human first and a journalist later......

As far as Indian politicians are concerned.. we are between a rock and a hard place.. whom do we throw boots on? Virtually everybody.. except a few like Arun Shourie, Jaswant Singh perhaps Kamal Nath.. so on and so forth..

If for your ideological disdain you throw shoes on somebody.. it means voting for that person is out of the question. And we in India are reduced to voting for the lesser evil.

Rather than throwing boots on somebody, we have to get together and raise a new party from scratch, along with a new media mouthpiece that does reporting with a mindset of objectivity.
