Consigning anti-incumbency to dust, the ruling BJP, led by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, today retained power in Madhya Pradesh though with a reduced majority in the Assembly elections which saw the defeat of firebrand expelled BJP leader Uma Bharti.
