Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and having as lead roles the dbutantes Sonam Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor, the movie is based on "White Nights", the famous short novel of Fyodor Dostoevsky. According to sources, the film is a romantic rhapsody like the Aditya Chopra directed film Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge.
