Miscellaneous: Nagaland Scout Local Post Issues

Civil strife in India in an area located between Assam and Burma resulted in the rebels calling their 'country' by the name Nagaland. No legitimate nation ever recognized this struggle for independence, which began soon after India became a nation in 1947 and extended central control over all regions. Open conflict occured between 1956 until cease fire in 1964.

i believe it could be a strategy but don't you feel the North-East are always neglected in Indian scenario.

ya i know that the North-east are always at the receiving end....i feel they are just used as a buffer zone to protect the country against Chinese invasion....

i too believe that there are a lot of developments that should be taking place in these regions but somehow there is hardly mention of these regions in the National media.....

actually i didnt got ur point..... are u trying to say that there is a lot of patriotism in the minds and hearts of the ppl of the North east....

i see that people do not relate themselves as Indian and rather live in their own identity.

ya i have also heard that many ppl from the north east just dont consider themselves as a part of India due to the conditions they are forced to live in.....

but then is Independence day celebrated in the North east or not????
