Miscellaneous: Map of World Religions

Religion is the oldest and arguably still the strongest philosophy known to man. Here is an interesting map showing the spread of religions across the world. There are quite a few interesting observations; Hinduism has continued to stay concentrated in the subcontinent growing with the growth in the region's population. Judaism on the other hand has continued to remain small but has spread out in strong pockets across all continents. And then there are big chunks of land where none of the larger religious philosophies have clearly penetrated!

    Actually I was surprised how diverse the map is. Christianity is much less visible on the world map than I thought. Probably because Protestants, Catholics and other Churches have been shown using separate colors. (Please don't interpret anything wrong from this comment. I am just saying that in my mind Christianity was much more prevalent in the world.)
