The Russian air force has tested a giant fuel-air bomb which the military says is the biggest non-nuclear explosive device in the world.

    I loved the idea of thermobaric weapon - First primary explosion creates cloud of explosive material and then secondary explosion ignites it. This is a good deterrent and does not violate nuclear treaties also. Besides atleast it does not have the friggin aftermath of a nuclear bomb. So to some extent this bomb is environment friendly :-)

    Yeah environment friendly bomb, better than long lasting effects of Nuclear bomb...And you know Russians are calling it as Father of all Bombs because this comes in response to MOAB developed by US whose backronym is Mother of all Bombs:)

    Did you read about the possibilities of developing gamma-ray lasers in future. They only talk of innocent use; using it to kick-start nuclear fission in reactors.

    In reality it will be the monster of a long distance targeting weapon.
