This is a new carpooling website for every city in India, and not only for Bangalore, Delhi or Mumbai. More than 2000 Indian cities are recognized on the website, and missing ones are added upon request. It is possible to propose regular carpools (for commuters) or carpools at a specific date (one-time trips). Inter-city carpools (e.g. Bangalore-Chennai) are also accepted.

I think this is something which should be really encouraged in urban cities in India. We are still a developing nation and cannot afford to spend 4 times the fuel which is actually needed to get people to office. Not only we save on energy but we also save on commuting time, traffic jams and pollution on roads. Hats off great idea.
