Hmm this is sad, we do live in a bad bad world as of today. Truth is taking a beating everywhere in India. Satyam is no longer Satyam. When your protector turns predator, thats when kaliyug has truly arrived.

hey what has happened was bad definitely an uncalled for act but then if any thief is caught in public then what should do the people do????

i mean i am of the firm belief that if a thief is caught they should get the Public Dhualaai coz they deserve it.... whereas in case of kids thorough investigation should be made and the parents should be punished but these kids need to be protected and nurtured.....

Denny what do other civilised countries do when the catch a wrong doer? Lynch them, beat them? Pull a child by hair and twist her ears hard enough to cry pitifully?Vigilante justice is becoming popular in our country because the judicial system is almost irrepairably broken and consumer unfriendly. While it may give a lot of satisfaction to do public dhulai in the beginning, sooner or later it will become a monster out of control.Look at what the goons in Manglaore did or the acid throwing boys killed in Hyderabad by police......no one has any fear of law or punishment in this land and eveyone behaves as a law unto oneself.Disaster ahead,if u ask me.

hey what u said is correct.... the condition of the law has gone to the dogs in our country and this is definitely what we wanted, but as of now a public Dhulai can be a better option for the thief to learn a lesson rather than taking the entire course of

How does one know in a public situation who is a culprit. Some innocents could get caught up in the melee and the fervor of the public to mete out justice could actually result in loss of life.In a civilised society one can not have such vague and open ended systems.Taking on the culprit to protect the victims is one thing but to go on to beat and abuse is dangerous.Right now we have a situation in our country where everyone is scared to come out in support of a victim but once someone is caught(innocent or guilty) then the mob mentality takes over and everyone wants to beat. How about stepping in to save a woman from sexual harrassment(so called eve teasing) or protecting an old one or a child? How about not looking the other way when right in front of you someone is being victimised?
