Hey great stuff sikkim. I did not realize the differences between Gorkha,Nepalis and durbans. To me all human beings deserve respect. The ones that guard our homes, and also the ones who guard our frontiers. In fact the ones that guard our home are ill treated more than the ones that guard our frontiers.

ya sikkim I totally agree with u as I have mentioned in my earlier statement that watchmen are always seen as some down trodden ppl....
but these same set of ppl forget that if the watchmen are not there no one will be there to guard their houses.....
So the watchmen deserve importance and respect which should be given to them as it is also a profession which they are specialised in and have selected as per their choice....
you are mistaken my friends....Gorkhas are the community of brave soldiers who had fought World Wars and brought accolades to the nation....and not a night watchers....I mean you are talking about Durbans who are the actual night watchers. Did you hear about the issue of the Radio DJ who had to make an public apologize for calling gorkhas a watchman when Prashant Tamang was called a night watchman when he won the Indian Idol... i am sure you will mark respect to this Gorkha community.
Well if u accept your mistake its well and fine....lets not elongate it.

ya garfile dude agree wid u completey... I think every person deserves respect...
but in our country there is a problem u see, the ppl guarding our homes are never respected and the ppl who want to use us for their selfish interests and kill others get much respect.... yes I was talking abt Mr Thackeray..
I wil better respect my watchman more than him.....
Well my frens being a watchmen is never a word of dis-grace as it is often seen in India. We tend to forget that it is also a job, a way to earn their bread for their lives. I know there are many nepali people who work as watchmen but as it is often seen...there initiation is not rightly given a preferences.
