This is really frustrating for the master blaster. I think every body has now considered that there is no way to out him, so umpires are the best support for them. These incidents are also a proof that he is the world's number one batsman.

It is very easy to say that 'Sachin Tendulkar is a great batsman in the world'. But, what we all really need to realize that how he earned his position in the ranks of the greatest batsmen in the world.

Sachin grew up as a cricketer under the wise guidance of Mr. Ramakant Acharekar on the grounds of Shivaji Park, Mumbai. It is rare to find a Mumbai-ite cricket lover, who wouldn't know about Shivaji Park. It is the Oxford to all die hard cricket fans in Mumbai. Many kids show up on Shivaji Park all dressed up in white uniforms with a bat in hands dreaming that they would one day be Sachin Tendulkar. I remember back in school days, many of us saying - I wanna be Sachin Tendulkar when I grow up.

Sachin's family; especially his brother Ajit; supported his passion to cricket; when there was no glamour attached to the world of cricket. We must make a mental note that he's chosen cricket in the times when 'cricket = money' equation never existed. Back then, cricket was a sport. It became religion. Unlike today's scenario - where youth looks up to it as a way to glamour, instead of glory. A way to earn fast money, instead of a earning place in every cricket fanatic Indian's heart.

Sachin's passion to cricket became not just his profession but also his faith & religion. He's dedicated his life to cricket. And it will be difficult for him to imagine life without cricket. He's remained clean in the messy corrupted world. Surprisingly, till today, he's one of the most polite & down-to-earth cricketers; where losing temper is just another word for showing off your "commitment to the sport".

Media criticizes Sachin for earning loads of money and claim that now he does not need cricket anymore. How's that possible - if cricket is no more just a sport for Mr. Tendulkar. This is like imagining a human being leaving without oxygen. Mr. Tendulkar lives and breathes cricket. And, it's no his fault that he's using his hard earned glamour for publicity and get rich. At least, he's got guts to invest good amount of money in activities for the benefit of our own society. Seriously, how many of us skip one cutting tea or cigarette and donate that money for a good cause.

Mr. Sachin Tendulkar, I'm extremely proud to be an Indian and have you as one of the legends here in my very own country. You've not only made us feel that with commitments, dedication and hard work, success is not far, but also helped us dream big and strive for the same.

Cricket is a religion in India - it binds many Indians - it unites us. Just talk about India-Pakistan cricket match and we all can feel the rush of adrenaline. We all forget who we are - and are mentally teleported to stadium through TV screens. Sachin is the god to all cricket worshippers - and that's not really Sachin - it is all of us who dream to beat Australia, England, Pakistan on the grounds of Eden Garden in Kolkata, Lords in England or Oval in Adelaide. It is the very adrenaline in us that desires to hit the ball over the pavilion outside the stadium. We enjoy that rage on Akthar's face or the frustration on McGrath's sharp mind. We enjoy these emotions. Together, we cherish the moments when we win the match, win the tournament. It is our way of celebrating the idea of patriotism as an Indian.

Just recall recent terrorist attacks on India. Recall Kargil. Recall every defeat we as Indians had in past. Though it was not our fault - we were hurt in some way. Though being a potential superpower we as people of this republic are neither united, nor daring to stand against injustice.

Foreign cricket associations / boards, and even foreign press / journalists dominate & influence ICC. Our representatives are elected not to represent India - but only to live up to the expectations set by foreign boards (so they can retain their positions) and more than that to fill their tummies with dollars & pounds. Corrupted politicians are cancer to the healthy system. Nobody dares to say this in open. And those who can - keep discussing - but do nothing. Today it's Mr. Sachin Tendulkar who is being trapped. Tomorrow, it would another Indian cricketer. It is shame that we as Indians keep staring at our TV screens like deaf & dumb - but utter no word about what's happening.

What's wrong with Indian media - we are a 1/6th of the world's population - and on top of that the biggest nation to support cricket as a sport. Cricket has built it's own big economic system - just because we as Indians love the sport so much. And yet, we can't create a healthy selection system in country. We can't support our very own player. If this injustice happens to an English cricketer or an Australian - does anyone have even faintest idea what's going to be the columns of British newspapers? The English & Australian media will be boiling with rage, and would never let go single opportunity to highlight injustice caused to 'their' player.

We on the other hand, will write, print news, telecast a report and forget all this in 7 days.

Mr. Tendulkar, I'm not sure, if Indian media will ever do the needful - but I'm sure our wishes stand by you always. More than government, our gods are running this country (and that's not really surprising after looking at the sad state of political system in India). And the same god stands by you for being dedicated, committed & striving hard for excelling in the sport you love so passionately.

All the best for your future life!

hey life what u say is correct.... i know that Sachin is a committed cricketer to crickt and he has the passion in him....

but this is the sad story dear we have so many greats of the country who have been mis treated....

VVS Laxman is hardly appreciated by any media and his place is always under the knife, Sourav Ganguly was insulted by Dilip Vengsarkar and he said he will give an answer to this action, Ganguly scored a ton and also retired with dignity but Mr Vengsarkar never gave any answer and no one else except a few Ganguly fans bothered.......

as soon as Dravid quit captaincy he was axed form the team....it is the habit of the BCCI to disrespect the senior players and play with their images.... it has happened in the past and it will happen again unless and until the people like Dilip Vengsarkar and others are not removed......
