Mark Tully's forward to Amit Mehra's latest coffee table book on India gives voice to how an average Indian understands, experiences and practices his/her secularism. Interestingly I found this on L.K Advani's blog.If BJP could genuinely base its ideological line on this kind of secularism then it might genuinely pose a challenge to Congress and find a place in the mind and heart's of most Indians......not just those who think saffron.

BJP might be far away from that point, given that factions within BJP want Modi to be their PM candidate, and we have seen enough in the past to know how secular/tolerant that government is going to be.

BJP is goin to ruin the country if they come to power.... i feel there were only two ppl in BJP whom i liked and respected....

Pramod Mahajan who is unfortunately not with us today and A.B. Vajpayee who has been the victim of cheap politics from LK Advani......

I think we are stuck between bad eggs(Congress),badder eggs(BJP) and baddest eggs(Mayawati,Mulayam and the Left parties).
