I really all for allowing religious conversions. How and why a community manages to convert a person of another community is nobody's business. Religion is a personal matter and such issues only aggravate the volatile atmosphere. Violence against conversions legitimate or illegitimate is not an answer. Why don't the hindu or xyz community do something for the people who are so crushed under poverty that they would change religion for a bottle of wine. As far as I know no hindu text preaches violence in face of any adversity.

garfield, that was a super answer, remember the kasmari pundits that did not allow the conversions of muslims to become hindu, in kashmir, its all to blame the hindus that just do too much of discrimination, or atleast did in the past.

But on another note, misusing someone's poverty to transform him to another religion is also not fair. [Majburi ka fayada to nahi uthana chahiye]

    i agree with garfy..

religion is a personal issue, if tomorrow i want to change my religion then why the fuck should any political party interfere in it.....

if i want to believe in different religions at the same time then i should be allowed to do it....

Well, under today's circumstance religious conversions are certainly wrong. Western power sources look at India as a threat to their power. Turning us Christian would be one way to make us subservient to their power. Moreover, do u know the utter bs that they are fed when they convert to christianity.. to distance themselves from hindus,.. not to talk to them, not to celebrate their religions?? Christian missionaries are merely exaggerating an existing social fissure, and using that are trying to create many mutinies all over India.. hoping that in that chaos.. the country might be consumed.

Yes Hinduism might have caused suffering to people of the lower classes.. but once again us Indians are trying to solve our personal conflict with the help of foreign powers. Last time that happened, we had the Muslims and British conquering India. We, should not allow that to happen again. Christian missionary activity must be stopped imminently..

      hi denny,

suppose you require some money someday, and i say that you convert to blahblah religion, and i give you money, would it be fair?

    hey seo

if my belief is so less in my religion that some money can buy it then there is no point in believing in such a religion and if a person can change his/her religion for some money once then he/she can do it again and again... for such ppl religion then becomes a joke and means to earn some money.....

yes you are right, but religion conversions affects generations, a poor and backward guy turns himself to another religion due to money, but his children will follow that religion with belief, converting one guy also means getting an entire future family to other religion,

ya thats true but then who is responsible for this??? definitely the ppl who offer money should be punished but again i wanted to say that if a person cant hold on to his religion then whats the use of him to believe in nay religion.....

    hey kumpal

i dont agree with u.... i dont think that only if Hindus will convert to Christianity then there will be no threat to foreign countries especially US.....

even Christians residing in India would like to overcome the US.... so i dont think while competing with US the religion is a major question and as far as the Britisher and Muslims capturing the country is concerned i dont think its ever gonna happen as now the ppl here are aware abt things....

Yep denny you are right, if someone can't hold down to his religion then he is probably useless for any religion, but it will affect his future generations too.......

Yep people paying money to convert others to different religions should be punished, i agree with you on this 100%
