This is really unbelievable. A man who commanded so much respect has really been disgraced. Not sure whether we should delve into private lives of public people, because I am sure 99.99% are not even half as truthful as Mahatma Gandhi was. I am sure we will find more and more skeletons as we dig deeper. As they say morality is only for the middle class. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

My opinion is that unless someone has hurt national interest through their behavior or committed a crime they should not be exposed by media.

In this case there was a crime committed, however the debate should be whether prostitution should be legalized?

Whats wrong if there is a fair transaction between a prostitute and a client?

@Garfy, it is not about man & prostitute. It is about being vulnerable to blackmail & decosion making under duress or threat of being exposed.

Also the moral character is exposed! He has lost the moral authority to govern us! We, the people, demand a honourable character to lead us!

@bikaner, you are right he has lost the moral authority to govern us. What I was trying to challenge was the basic belief that going to prostitutes is morally incorrect.

At the time it was believed to be morally incorrect it was more due to the various STDs it could transmit amongst the population / community. Whatever was bad for community was usually described as immoral by the high priests of the society.

In today's age with various inventions that belief is there to be challenged.

Secondly if it were legal to go to prostitutes I don't think that would leave Mr ND Tiwari and the likes vulnerable to blackmail and duress just because of the stamina Mr Tiwari possesses at this age.

Thirdly legalising prostitution would mean a better life for the exploited sex workers. Just a thought.
