hey i too agree with some of the thoughts mentioned in this post but some things like harming others are logically bad....

we cant go and kill any innocent if that person hasnt harmed u, so how can we defend this act of crime....

fro somethings i agree that majority should be consulted but then what abt the victim... how will he get the justice????

look.. killing innocents is usually believed by a section of minority.. and in that case.. the belief of the majority.. that innocents should not be killed must be imposed.

if majority believes in something that is bad.. the minority might speak up and convince the majority that they are wrong.. rather than going ahead and do the right thing yet not convincing the majority.. that would only lead to confusion and anarchy..

the message that I wished to spread was that a general consesnsus on any issue in the society is a must sought.

I agree 100% - but if you do a statistical scan, its typically the minorities which are poor.

examples please?? as far as I know.. the minority is rich.. not poor..

examples of poor minorities - Muslims, dalits in india. Blacks and hispanics in America.

examples of rich minorities - Jews in America, Parsis and Sikhs in India. But if you see the minorities which are rich, happened to form in prosperous places and are shrewd businessmen.

there are many examples like Muslims in Godhra riots

Christians in latest riots in Orissa,

these are just some examples but i too fell that irrespective of the wealth most of the times the minorities have to suffer.....
