Why should the IIT be gender specific? It should just concentrate as a premium institute of learning.

    first of all i dont understand that why there is a myth in everyone's mind that only IIT can produce geniuses.....

    i would say that the president is supporting the wrong agenda by going for an all gals IIT institute.....

    if at all it is approved, the parents of other gals who allow them to go in mixed institutes will target only gals IIT and this will not only hamper the gals IIT institute but the entire bunch of students...

    i feel in todays era where there can be hardly any difference seen between gals and boys y there is a need for such an institute????

    if anything that can improve the condition is the basic education.... she should look to increase the number of gals going to schools then everything else will improve....

    I agree with your Tweety however why the heck we need to have a women ONLY IIT???

    Why just stop at IIT, why not have women only Hospitals (right from patients to the orderlys), have women ONLY flights, women only trains etc etc...

    We need to get over this MEn only or women only thing...

    God created both the sexes, period!

    its high time that 'women only' concept should now be terminated.... we need to be more liberal and free and this thing should not be entertained......
