When I was in college we had formula 44. When so ever we were late to class , we used this formula 44 . It was simple formula and historical ones too. It might have been used 10,000 times before and it might still well be in use ,even today. Our formula 44 was 'sir i am not feeling well but since it is important class , i tried to make it anyways'. Of course we could not use same formula every day on same professor but it did keep working . No professor or lecturer would argue with being sick...
