I request both of you rizzy and omasti to stop it for rambhai's sake. and rsk I think the number of votes should be 15 or else anyone with a high karma can publish any stupid story in rambhai. as far as rating the comment is concerned I really dont see people rating comments and I think this shoul happen more and more to encourage people to post their comments.
@ RSK first you mention crown on rambhai and then you say we should reduce it to 10, wow, to me a very poor suggestion. Karma is earned by us, and shouldn't be taken away. The newbies can learn from us and earn it themselves. And how about we karma people get our A**es in Queue section and vote a few. I have been noticing, only garfield and me vote in Queue.

this logo is really a good one and the entire concept of being different ie zara hatke is indeed unique where we can discuss some different topics rather than the normal news...

This title triggers a question which you brought up, let me remind you that question because you probably forgot it already. Isn't "News Zara Hatke" Better?What you guys think?
Now in the previous sentence I said you don't have a well memory and that is because you past up 4 comments, Denny, Paavans, Just2Impressu, and rsk, and they all did was comment the question this title triggers and of course your own question.
Now you can probably tell that I do not regret the comment I gave. But I did make one mistake in that comment and I would like to apologize for that. The mistake was that I could be better with my diction, instead of using "ignorant" I should have chosen "dumbhead". Now I do not even regret what I just said. It might sound bad and disrespectful, but trust me their ain't a better word to label you with what you just did, unless you want me to say mentally retarded, what ever sounds better to you. Let me clarify why I called you a dumbhead, I called you that because of the reasons already mentioned, but remember you have bad memory so let me say them again. I label you that because of the following reasons.
1. ignorant question.
2. you actually came back with a counter after my comment.
3. Omasti says: "I didn't saw the topic where you discussed about the slogan & title of this story." Buddy I did not mention the other story and no body did. And if you thought that then who's fault is that not mine. And I read my comment several times, and it don't seem like I am talking about any other story.

You saying But isn't zara hatke is better?" called suggesion? That is like me being in an art class and trying to write a thousand words worth of essay on one twenty by twenty picture. Very little detail Omasti sir. You should consider going to school dude.

guys lets not get carried away... and dont forget to have fun - My two cents on the logo and punchline. Its a significant move away like j2imu mentions from the original idea of rambhai. But it may be for the better since it sounds like rambhai trying to differentiate from other sites like ndtv,rediff etc. I think this might be good for us as well because it could mean rambhai is going to stand out away from the others. zara hatke news and news zara hatke is not much difference apart from the grammer. It means different content thats all. Any other punchlines you guys can think of which will differentiate rambhai? Mine is News and Views Zara hatke (To emphasize the importance of posting your views and not just content) I think we have really great discussions on rambhai. What say guys?

and then we praise rambhai.com when we cannot even control a spammer like shalini. We can't afford to lose users therefore we don't ban them. Or maybe rambhai doesn't know much about this template to ban an individual. Or something else.
There must b some feature of Abuse Report for this type of users.
I think now the rizzy heat has cooled. By the way, may i suggest rambhai about no.of votes needed for a story to get published. Now, it is 15 from 10 i think, it is not at all a problem for top users, but the new bie need to get 15 precious votes. Instead, may i suggest to reduce it to 10 as usual, and reduce the voting power of user having karma > 5., i.e. if karma > 5 or 4, voting power = 5 or 4. so that newbie will be encouraged by 10 votes, and the power user cant published with just 2 clicks. rizzy, garfield, j2iu, denny, am i right or?
cumpletly agree wth u...bt wanna modify ur suggestion a bit..instead of reducng voting power..concept of diffrential voting shud be used....for example my voting power is 10,bt there r certain post on whch i feel to gv less no.of votes...so concept of diffrential votng is very neccessary on rambhai.com

Omasti I still do not regret anything I said, and RSK J2u, Garfield, Denny anybody can go back and read my comments and there is no sense of unmaturity, it is a decent discussion me and Omasti are having here, I just think he needs to be a bit sharp before writing a comment. I welcome ur suggestion of differential voting power, that would be good, (but,i thought programming for that wuld take much time in modifying code). And still, it is a good idea.
For rizzy, yes, karma are earned by us. suppose i want to vote for a story which is medium, But my and one top user votes adds 12 votes and get published. this would lead to cartel formation i thought. Atleast 4 persons votes should be for publishing, i feel.
all i thought this idea is that newbie will now need 15 votes for publishing, thats why?

The voting this is absolutely fine the way it it. If let's say RSK gets 15 votes per story one day, then rambhai would simply extend the voting to about 20 or even more. What this does is encourages people and webmaster to actually earn their points and eyeballs, not just through their headlines but participation as well.
I am a living example of it. I discovered rambhai several times, but i was like what kind of a name is this, i ain't joining this site never, then eventually i joined for one and only one purpose. The purpose was to promote my dead blog bollytheater. Fortunately I actually commented on a few stuff, and bam just2impressu started voting for my stories, and i was getting so many stories published, and i am like what how is this happening. Once I post a story, and within 10 seconds the vote was 10, and so I gave a comment, "wow 10 votes in just 10 second. Then just2impressu gave me a link which explained this feature of rambhai. I was like eff digg, propeller, indianpad, and humsurfer, i am gonna get active in this site and get a legit position. And here I am.
So rsk rambhai always have power to extend the votes, which is gud. And he shud be lucky, so many good people actually care about promoting queue links. Rambhai is just fine as far as the voting thing goes.
I am glad that the heated argument between rizzy and omasti has ended peacefully. I also support hte idea of variable voting given by garfield.......

My two cents on differential voting - its to encourage people to come back to rambhai to maintain their leadership. As George Orwell has famously said. All people are equal but some people are more equal than the others. besides i think once a person has been sufficiently exposed to rambhai and blogging concept he starts to behave more responsibly. Till the time he is not a part of the system, he is more likely to do something wrong. Differential voting is to ensure smooth transition of a Fuccha into a Rambhaiyya. If we want to encourage newbies we oldies should use our magic wand and vote for them :-)

@j2imu - Rambhai continues to and will always attaract the argumentative indian. The Zara hatke news is a step in the direction of making Rambhai more popular with average indian guy who would benefit a lot by hearing the viewpoints of Rambhaiyyas.
