It is the law of the nature that the life expectancy and birth rate of a female is more than a male. Consideringly, there should be more female than male in the society.Contrary to this, the child sex ratio i.e. the number of female child per1000 male child is decreasing. The reasons for such declining are the high rate of female foeticide and infanticide.
