Good news for every body is that FBT abolished from FY 2009-10 but bad news is that now employees have to pay tax on fringe benefits as perquisites .Even Esop is now less attractive as you have to pay tax on the day of exercise of option itself.I can hope only that new list of perks will be shorter than what it was in FBT and there is no presumption value while adding the perquisites value in Income of the employee read full story
