This is nothing but political bullshit as the central government elections are very very close. Dear Denny, I believe, we should not waste our precious time discussing about such crap. You'll be surprised to hear several techniques many of the political power centers in country adapt, just stay on voter's mind. Several political parties are nothing but crap brands - who constantly want to hammer their names on our mind when elections are close by. My family has been closely associated with social & political activities, and the bitter experiences have always left deep impression on my mind over last few years.

Trying to amend the system from within is like fighting with a filthy pig in mud. At the end of the day, pig loves playing in mud - but all you get is dirty. And, to correct the system from outside needs power - which may corrupt an individual.

I think, it's high time, that India needs a social reformation. The one, that first of all changes the way every Indian thinks. True democracy has a great value - when each of it's participant, right from the voter to the representative, are matured enough to understand the consequences of the decisions they take as a collective. Else, it is worse than dictatorship, as it would simply give rise to the corrupt system, due to lack of ownership of the decisions. Every Indian needs to be shaken from the core and should be made awake from the sweet dream they are having within their comfort cocoons.

In a constitutions of one of the biggest republics in the world, there's this statement that goes something like this: "Those, who got the potential or power to bring the system to it's right and justified way of working; have the moral obligation to do so." Now, this statement has a tremendous power. I would like to bring change and eradicate "bad things" from society. But, to do so, I should be careful with how I define & redefine what is "bad" or in the above incident "not fitting in the (so called) culture".

To sum it up, if you have a good thought - infect 10 other with that good thought, and encourage them to motivate others. Also, along with awareness, action is equally important. Well said by a sage,

"If you have a plan for a year - grow a plant.

If you have a plan for 10 years - grow a tree.

But, if you have plan for eternity - grow people and your thoughts would prevail!"
