LetsDiscuss: Both CM Achuthanandan and Mr. Unnikrishnan have to learn some lessons

Much is made of Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan’s remark to martyr Sandeep Unnikrishnan’s father. The remark made by the minister is no doubt derogatory. And he should feel apologetic about the utterance. But in all the scrutiny of the minister’s remark, we have missed an equally important point.

It is a fact that men are brought up with a stiff upper lip.Women cry and get the stress out.Men also feel the emotional pain especially when losing a child but try to put up a brave front. The emotional turmoil that the father felt is understandable and if a person asked for privacy it should be respected. The minister need not visit the house but can express condolence or solidarity in some other way.

@Cricketgod, I totally disagree with the post you have posted here.

Are you also supporting the point that Mr. Unnikrishanan shouldnt have shouted at the CM when he came at his doorstep after being ridiculed by the media for not turning up on the martyred Major's funeral????

Does he/she has lost any relative in this terror attack?? And if still has mantained calm and is asking for forgiveness for the terrorists, then he/she is a Saint, and point has been well taken.

Otherwise, he/she has no busineess critising Mr. Unnikrishanan's stand against the Mutt (Achhutanandan, or whatever CRAP his name is)

Sorry but from his article he wanted to tell that Mu. Unnikrishanan could have avoided that step and the thing could have not prompted.

He also mentioned that Achhutanandan was largely responsible for this act but at the same time act of Mr. Unnikrishanan is not forgivable. It would be better for the society both would have remained silent.

Well, these are his basis and not mine. I says that like Mr. Unnikrishanan every responsible citizen should make politician down under their feet.

hey i dont feel Mr Unnikrishnan is wrong.... a man is already frustrated that he has lost his son and on top of that these politicians go and visit their places, ultimately intruding in their privacy and not letting them to forget the grief and pain they are going through......

if Mr Unnikrishnan insulted the CM he should not have talked to the media, he could have easily avoided the media glare and would have saved himself from public bashing.......

I too feel their was nothing wrong by Unnikrishana. This post is by one of our editorial team member and do not represent united views of all editorial team.

BTW, I really feel sad as Mr. Unnikrishnan tried to insult. I can agree that he was going with the bad phase but surely he could have avoided that. All the way, I would suggest him to protest like other ppl do. Join rallies and try to show what Politics you want in the modern India.

ya cricket god, he also should not have reacted so emotionally.......

but what a father is supposed to do who sees his child sacrificing his life for the country but these politicians making an issue out of if for their advantage.....

so in a way i feel what he did was right, all these politicians should be treated in the same way.....

you told two things. One "he also should not have reacted so emotionally" and other thing "so in a way i feel what he did was right,"

and for the answer of "all these politicians should be treated in the same way" check our politician post.
