Well kunal to be precise, here is what happens (from what I know) When you eat fruits the body release different kind of juices for digestion from what it does for cereals. When you eat them together it can possibly lead to intermingling of these juices and consequent neutralization, leading to indigestion. But this is a probability and not a definite thing. So your digestion might be strong right now, as you grow older it gets weaker and things like these affect your health a lot.
