Why the fuck there was no action when the student complained???????? were the college authorities least bothered or they fear the power the parents of the students involves in ragging would have had.... why do they react every time when someone has lost its life.... when ragging is officially banned they should have acted upon the complaint of the student who was a victim, now wats the point of rusticating the perpetrators, one life has already been lost..... the only thing that can save us from this shit is an uprising, an uprising against the powerful..... don't vote for the current govt unless and until the they don't punish the perpetrators accordingly...... If we wont fight then we wont be able to win.... this for all of us who count themselves under the category of COMMON MAN.....

Ragging is a word which has altogether maligned the spirit of social interaction.Either too much has been done about curbing ragging or nothing at all. But as a society this needs to be addressed at a higher level of consciousness. Something which is addressed even before such deviant behaviour begins to takes shape.
het J2 bro i felt this was an interesting story, so i posted it....
I think the main thing is Ragging was being popularized by the media and then the actions were taken.....
the colleges i suppose hardly care whether ragging is taking place or not and only take actions when someone dies or the media reports it.....
In my point of view there are many reasons why ragging with all its ugliness takes place.
1)At the outset, ragging is an attempt to establish one's position of hierarchy, by seniors upon the juniors.
2)Attracting the attention of women is also a major issue that leads to unprincipled ragging. “Again, given that we don’t have a culture that promotes young people to date, and hence don’t find a formal accepted pattern of social and sexual behaviour. Hence, ragging sometimes forms a feeble excuse to try to gain attention from the opposite sex, sometimes going out of hand leading to frequent sexual harassment”.
3)There also exists a geographical divide among the students. The presence of students from rural and urban settings also creates a deep social divide.
4)India is also a deeply fragmented society with many internal power struggles,Ragging is another form of control at its most basic level where groups try to establish their claim to power over a certain area, arena or represent a certain part of the social setup in colleges.
I think there should be a group present in each and every college who would directly look and check for ragging....
the people who are responsible for these checks should be in direct contact with the police and the media.....
first a warning should be given to the perpetartor and then directly he should be handed over to the police, if the ragging is intense then his name should be flashed in the media.... let the whole country know what kind of animals are there under the skin of humans....
