चाचा ! मैं आपका जन्मदिन मनाना तो चाहती हूं परन्तु मना नहीं पा रही हूं. मैं कुपोषण से जो ग्रसित हूं. लोग मुझे दया से देखते हैं. चाचा, मेरे हाथ-पैरों की चमड़ी सिकुड़ती ही जा रही है. बाल भूरे हो गये हैं. आंखों में कीचड़ आता रहता है. मक्खियां भी भिनभिनाती रहती हैं परन्तु चाचा मैं उन्हें भगा भी नहीं सकती हूं क्योंकि मेरे हाथ-पैर उठते ही नहीं हैं. भोपाल से एक चिट्ठी प्रशांत कुमार दुबे के मार्फत

hey abhinav that was a really touching post and exposes the current pathetic situation of our country.....
it just shows that how till today so may children are suffering in our country and are not even given the basic necessities of life and on the other hand we celebrate children's day with charm....
if chacha Nehru would have been alive today would he liked all these things happening????
Yes denny, its really disheartening to see cases of malnutrition in a country where tonnes of foodgrains get stale being kept in open or where the share of these children go to houses of corrupt officials at every level of the govt. machinery. It's really imperative for the learned lot to come forward and raise our voices against these cases.
till the time each and every single citizen of this country doesnt step up nothing is gonna change.....
