IndiaShining: Delhi to Amritsar in two hours?????

The French and the Japanese are bidding aggresively to get contract for high speed trains. These trains are capable of running at more than 500 km per hour. The ministry of planning wants to setup high speed train corridor on at least two routes - Mumbai to Ahmedabad and Delhi to Amritsar. What's amazing is that you will be able to reach amritsar from delhi in 2 hours and high speed trains are environment friendly too.

    That would be a revolution indeed...Having travelled in TGV in France, I would love and wish to see the same running in India connecting cities across!

    Cooll!!! I wish they can start these trains in Delhi. this wll save a lot of tym in commuting.
