hey anand i think that the main reason is lack of motivation....here the Indian players are hailed as super heroes for hitting some 70 odd runs and taking 3 to 4 wkts in a match but there the expectation levels are different and thats why only Anil Kumble was successful and that too once because of his hunger for more success.....

the counties are not that popular in India so the cricketers just give it a shot and not there full fledged effort and this is what i feel.......

County cricket is sick and dead. I guess the question is why do english cricketers not perform well in Indian premier league.

Hey Garfy my friend. There are hardly any Englishmen in the IPL. And I am talking of not just the present but of the last 30-40 odd years

Hey avnish to be honest im not a big sports fan, however what i was trying to say was..., English county cricket has no importance in today's world, why spend time discussing a non issue? The rules of the game have changed...

hmm ya thts correct anand the counties dont enjoy that importance that it used to have a decade back.....

the major reason is India themselves have become so rich and are playing a lot of county cricket involving foreign players.....
