One almost got the sense that the T20I series between Australia and England was being played in Sri Lanka. Notorious for its heavy seasonal – and on occasions, unseasonal as well – rains, Sri Lanka has seen many a tournaments cancelled or at best, partially affected, including the Champions Trophy of 2002, where the finals had to be shared between India and the hosts.
