Speaker Babasaheb Kupekar today directed the State Rural Development Ministry to recover the taxes and dues on wind mills set up by celebrities and others in the coastal region. Intervening during question hour, the Speaker said that the gram panchats were facing revenue shortfall and the Rural Development Ministry should recover dues from celebrities be it actress Aishwarya Rai or anyone. Replying to a qestion from Shambhuraj Desai (Sena), Rural Development Minister, Siddharam Mhetre told the House that taxes were calculated as per the Mumbai Gram Panchayat Act 1958's Section 124 and 125 and Patan Gram panchayat in Satara district has initiated the process of recovery. BJP group leader Eknath Khadse said that he has a list of celebrities who were not paying taxes to Gram panchayat, including Sachin Tendulkar, Aishwarya Rai and those close to some Cabinet ministers. Mehtre informed that taxes and dues would be recovered before the next session of the State Legislature. At this juncture the Speaker intervened and directed Mehtre to recover dues within three months be it Aishwarya Rai or anyone else for the matter

i dont know what these people do of so much money.... i have never sen them donating something for a good cause.......
