eBay- an online shopping website has just acquired Stumbleupon a social discovery service for $75 million. StumbleUpon has shown a tremendous rise in the past 1year and has grown nearly 150% since then having around 2.3 million users and approximately approximately five million recommendations daily. StumbleUpon allows users to access new random websites based on their preferences e.g. - technology, photography etc. the websites are provided by the users themselves and acts as a sharing platform.
