Goodwill Industries Serving Southeast Nebraska was started in 1932 by Miss Eleanor T. Miller after she returned from Boston where she saw the original Goodwill Industries in operation. She brought the idea to Nebraska and the area has benefited from the Goodwill Industries philosophy of “a help up, not a hand out” since then.
