Medicare supplements come in several plans and currently there are over 12 plans. They come in handy to ensure that the gaps left in the general medicare do not result in unwanted costs. For example, with a general medicare plan which covers hospital expenditure, one only has the cost covered for the first sixty days and begins contributing for the following days.
