      @Rampal, thanks for posting this. I would also like to share with Rambhaiyyas that China has banned microsoft OS windows and they have Linus working on Red Flag linux to provide a better OS than Windows for Chinese online users. Chinese are smart people.

      thanks bikaner, neither did I before yesterday when I tried to install linux on my laptop and discovered there is a Red flag linux. One thing led to another and one of my friends' told me about microsoft being banned in China. Actually I havent researched that well on this ban, i have commited hearsay :-) It may not actually be banned, however lots of stuff is banned in china or policies are not supporting them.

    hey these Chinese want to work alone as they keep on banning stuff which they don't like really crazy people....

      @garfield, i heard that they banned google in the past, as they have this baidu search engine which is china's google... however am not sure if this is true, there's so many bans that are taken off and then again put on, so its hard to keep up anyway,

    hey there can be a series written on the bans that take place in China and then are taken off..... i think they might be having a separate department for banning things.... ha h aha loll

    Yes baidu search engine is very popular with PRC Chinese.They do use Microsoft but the Mandarin version and a majority of them are Linux fans.
