That's the difference between professionally run companies and ones which operate in oblivion. Doesn't matter how big a crisis is, a professionally run company would always have pre-built plans in place to deal with situations. On the other hand companies like Jet Airways, Reliance, etc are seen doing great business when the times are good but wilt under the slightest bit of pressure.

Infosys currently may have ruled out job cuts but its a fact that it is finding difficult to allot already hired people to projects. So the bench strength has reached a saturation point.

@Denny..
No, being an employee of Infosys, I know that its equally bad for them also. But the thing is Infosys has a cash reserve of 10,000 crore so it can afford to stay afloat without cutting costs albeit at the cost of treasury.

Ya, cost cutting is also there now. We got an email from CEO urging us to find some way to save atleast 10$ per employee and also now they have put up a special forum on their intranet site to post suggestions.
Batch parties for freshers are cancelled now, escalators dont move, joinings for trainees are being delayed etc etc..
